COLLEGE HISTORY
The college is under Hagafilo Holdings Limited which deals with provision of Education from Pre Primary to tertiary Education. The college (Mwalimu Franz Teachers’ College) was established in 2010 being registration No. CU.107 providing Grade A Teacher Certificate Examination under National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) where it was registered with Registration No. E0607.
Due to the change in Tanzania Education Policy which demanded that all colleges to be under the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE), in 2013 the college was registered with NACTE with Registration No. TLF/004 bearing a Name of Hagafilo College of Development Management – Njombe and started providing Ordinary Diploma in Primary Education, Ordinary Diploma in Records, Archives and Information Management, Ordinary Diploma in Law and Certificate in Information and Communication Technology.
In 2018 the college extended its courses by registering Courses under Vocational Education and Training Authority Registration N. VET/NJB/PR/2018/C/097 Hagafilo Polytechnic College providing Certificate in Animal Husbandry, Information Communication Technology, Electrical Installation, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Motor Cycle Mechanics, Design sewing and Cloth Technology, Welding and Metal Fabrication and Business Operation Assistant.
Moreover in 2021 the college was Registered under the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elder and Children to provide Certificate in Early Child Education and Care.nTherefore Hagafilo College is one of Multidisciplinary Institute in Tanzania.
